Welcome to the new online home of Saddle
Tramp Press!
Hello STP fans!
As
we say goodbye to summer we're saying
hello to two of the most fun conventions
of the year. At the beginning of next month
is the SPXPO, and that's always a
good time. This year we might have a few
collaborators with us from the WAR anthology,
which I'll talk about later. Aside
from Brad, Jason and Myself, Damon Hurd
will definitely be there and Brandon Wilt
may show up. If any of you fans are in the
area, stop by and say hello.
After that, the Mid-Ohio Con will be at
the end of November. There, we'll
be hanging with Ken Picklesimer, Jr, Tom
Mandrake, and hopefully some other contributors
to WAR.
As for the WAR anthology, all of you do
yourselves a favor and BUY THIS BOOK! Tom
Mandrake provides the cover and that alone
is worth the cover price. But then you open
the book and see the first story by Damon
Hurd and STP artist (and DC Comics colorist,
of course) Jason Wright. The book goes on
to mix a vast array of artistic styles with
some very character driven writing. The
book will hit stores in January, so look
for it in the Previews catalog that comes
out at the end of October. You can order
it directly from us in October.
For those of you wondering about new HOLLIDAY
stories, one is in the works. This one will
revolve around the most famous moment in
legendary Western history, the gunfight
at the OK Corral. The story will be in graphic
novel format, but that's all we'll
tell you for now. Keep an eye on this site
for updates.
Brad and I are also in the midst of creating
a new story by STP. The story is called
"The Circle Burn Affair" and will
be the first superhero type story by STP.
There are no real superheroes, because in
this universe people with powers don't wear
capes. They wear suits. If Superman were
real, wouldn't he be in the running for
President of the USA? We tackle that question.
You can read a teaser for the new story
under our downloads
section.
Also in our downloads section are some STP
wallpapers for your desktop, and the two
back-up stories that originally appeared
in HOLLIDAY #s 6 and 7. The two stories
were re-colored in a red tint that lends
to the time when the stories took place.
Check them out. Also posted is a story that
Jason and I did for Ken Picklesimer's
All-Fist Comics about his character Atomic
Cowboy. It was really fun, and we hope to
work with Ken's characters again.
That's all for now, if you're
at the two upcoming shows please stop by
and say hey, and keep reading.
